The Autonomous Government of Andalusia, in cooperation with the tourist industry, has launched the project "Great Experiences" in order to promote our region's tourist attractions among the elderly.

One of the project's goals is to make tourism less dependent on the seasons. This can be achieved by promoting sales during normally low seasons to ensure stable occupancy throughout the year. The project also seeks to encourage seniors to travel more by giving people over 55 the means to travel and enjoy the advantages and discounts offered by tourist amenities in Andalusia during the low season. Travelling with family and friends is an option, for they will enjoy special prices too.

To promote the advantages that travel agents and tourist agencies offer during the low season, our catalogue "Senior Travel: 2009-2010" and the Great Experiences website offer several combinations of tourist attractions, such as sun & sea, golf, gourmet cuisine, and health & spa.
